About Me:
My yoga journey started at the age of 16 and over many years I have practised yoga in conjunction with other interests such as aerial yoga and kayaking. I decided to direct my focus exclusively to teaching yoga almost a decade ago and I have become an experienced and established yoga teacher.
I trained with the British Wheel of Yoga and completed a (BWY) NVQ Level 4 Diploma to develop my teaching skills; it is one of the highest levels of yoga teaching training available in the UK. This was an intensive, 3 year course and incorporated all aspects of yoga, including; yoga anatomy, posture work, breath, relaxation and meditation techniques as well as yogic philosophy.
I am a member of the British Wheel of Yoga and I am insured to teach by The British Wheel of Yoga which is recognised as the governing body for yoga in the UK by Sport England. I teach weekly adult classes, one to one lessons, group parties and workshops.
I am a qualified children’s yoga teacher and a member of the Yoga Alliance Professionals. I completed my training through Yoga Alliance Professionals and hold a Children’s Yoga Teacher Diploma. I also have the relevant safeguarding qualifications and a current Enhanced DBS certificate. I specialise in teaching yoga to children from the age of 2 to 13 years old and currently teach in Primary Schools and Pre Schools within the local area.
